Amazon's October Prime Big Deal Days event is winding down, with the sale concluding at 3AM ET on Thursday, October 8th. While some early offers have expired, a significant selection of deals continues across a broad range of electronics—and new discounts are still rolling out to make the final stretch worthwhile.
Where to Find Deals#
The Verge's team has identified roughly 100 discounted items across major tech brands, cross-referencing shopping sites with their own testing and buying guides. Although Prime members get first access to the bulk of these offers, many retailers including Best Buy, Walmart, and Target are matching the same prices, making savings available to everyone.
Flagship Phones and Foldables#
Samsung's lineup is seeing meaningful reductions despite recent price increases across the brand's S26 lineup. The Galaxy S26 Ultra has reached one of its lowest price points this year, and the Galaxy Z Fold 8—Android's closest competitor to a dual-screen experience—is at its biggest discount yet. The Z Fold 8 Ultra also has a fresh price cut, offering superior camera performance for those willing to spend more.
On Apple's side, the newest iPhone Air (5.6mm thick) features a 6.5-inch ProMotion display and 48MP fusion camera, though battery endurance is a known weak point. The iPhone 16E brings flagship performance at a lower entry price as a spiritual successor to the iPhone SE, though it lacks MagSafe at its $599 price.
Google's Pixel 11 just received a $150 discount on the 256GB model, bringing it closer to its $899 launch price and making it an affordable gateway to Google's AI features. The Pixel 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL are also seeing substantial cuts.
Audio and Wearables#
Headphones across multiple price tiers are discounted this week. The Bose QuietComfort headphones (Gen 2) deliver excellent noise cancellation and physical controls, while Bose's QuietComfort Ultra (2nd gen) represent the company's flagship wireless option. Apple's AirPods Max (2nd gen) feature bold sound, though upgrades for first-gen owners are marginal.
For workout-focused listeners, Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 pack heart rate monitoring, IPX4 water resistance, and active noise cancellation—ideal for athletes. The earbuds excel at call quality and music playback alike.
