Aqara is doubling down on connected lighting, unveiling an ambitious product lineup at IFA that bridges indoor and outdoor spaces while maintaining compatibility across leading smart home ecosystems.
New floor lamp brings ambient color to living spaces#
The centerpiece of Aqara's smart lighting push is the Floor Lamp T1, a sleek LED-equipped pole that diverges from traditional lampshade designs. Standing at 4.6 feet tall, the fixture integrates RGBIC lighting spread across 18 individually controllable zones. Like comparable competitors in the space, the lamp projects colored light outward onto surrounding walls, creating an immersive atmosphere rather than purely downward illumination.

Expanding to outdoor smart lighting#
Beyond indoor solutions, Aqara is extending its platform to exterior applications. The company introduced new outdoor smart lights with individually addressable LEDs as permanent fixtures, alongside decorative RGBIC string lights designed for holiday displays or ambient warm and cool white settings.
Updated LED strips and downlights round out the collection#
Aqara refreshed its existing LED light strip product with a new control chip enabling multi-zone management—18 independent zones per 3-meter section—while retaining the previous 16 million color palette. The company also debuted a second-generation downlight available in 4- and 6-inch configurations, with options for either RGB plus tunable white lighting or RGB-only variants.
Cross-platform compatibility and ecosystem integration#
All new Aqara lighting products work with major smart home platforms—Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, Home Assistant, and Homey—through both Thread and Zigbee connectivity. This multi-protocol approach ensures flexibility for users invested in different ecosystems. Pricing and exact availability details have not yet been announced.
