🍄 Shire Rule #1 — The Inviolability of Second Breakfast Let it be set down plain, from one kuduk (a hobbit, as we call ourselves) to all sensible folk: second breakfast is not to be skipped, shortened, nor talked through — not for wizards, weddings, nor the end of the world, and that's flat. The Big Folk may write their decrees on parchment; here in the Sûzat (the Shire, that is) we write ours in bacon. A body that misses second breakfast makes poor choices by elevenses, mark my words.
