Anker Adds Display to Charging Case in New Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro
The tech maker's latest sleep-focused earbuds feature improved noise cancellation and longer battery life, while the Pro model includes a display-equipped case and health sensors.
The Verge
Anker has unveiled the Soundcore Sleep Earbuds 4 and 4 Pro, designed for side-sleepers seeking better rest. The new models build on audio masking technology from the previous generation A30 sleepbuds, delivering extended battery performance and stronger active noise cancellation to manage environmental disturbances.
Design and Comfort#
Both models shrink the contact footprint by roughly 20 percent compared to their predecessors, reducing discomfort during extended wear—a meaningful improvement for earbuds meant to stay in all night. The new charging cases now support wireless charging pads for easier power-ups, eliminating cable hassles.
The 4 Pro variant steps up with a built-in OLED screen on its SleepHub case, allowing direct control without reaching for a phone. Users can browse soundscapes, review sleep metrics, and program alarms directly from the case itself. Anker has become known for adding displays to unexpected products, and this case continues that trend.
Battery and Connectivity#
Over Bluetooth 6.0, the earbuds deliver up to 8 hours of music, podcasts, or audiobooks with ANC activated, or 11 hours with it off. Local playback of pre-loaded soundscapes extends to 9.5 hours (ANC on) or 14.5 hours (ANC off), providing flexibility for uninterrupted sleep.
Pro Features#
The 4 Pro model adds a PPG sensor inside each earbud to track heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), and sleep phases in real time—a feature now common in wellness earbuds from Apple, Sennheiser, and Bose. Anker's "BioSync" system uses these readings to detect fatigue and stress levels, then automatically plays adaptive soothing audio to encourage sleep onset.
Pricing and Availability#
The standard Sleep Earbuds 4 arrive in October for $229.99 (£199.99) in white and blue, with pink arriving later. The 4 Pro launches in November at $349.99 (£299.99) in similar color options.
