InfoQ Opens Enrollment for High-Performing Teams Certification Program
A five-week live online program starting November 2026 guides senior engineers through designing and optimizing delivery teams in the age of AI.
InfoQ
InfoQ has announced the first cohort of its InfoQ Certified High-Performing Teams Program, a structured five-week online training designed for senior engineering practitioners seeking to build and evolve high-functioning delivery teams. The program runs from November 17 through December 17, 2026, meeting twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM CET, with enrollment set at $1,470 per participant.
Program Focus#
The curriculum explores the interconnected dynamics that shape team effectiveness: how organizational structure, workflow optimization, individual ownership, AI-assisted work, and performance measurement influence one another. Participants develop a target operating model specific to their own engineering teams, working through real-world scenarios and organizational constraints throughout the five weeks.
Weekly Breakdown#
-
Week 1: Foundation in team design, examining structural choices, cultural factors, and operational practices that enable efficient delivery; participants map delivery bottlenecks and evaluate competing team and workflow configurations.
-
Week 2: Deep dive into flow and ownership mechanics, including how dependencies on key individuals or external partners affect team performance; exploration of required shifts to responsibilities, tooling, or procedures.
-
Week 3: Integration of AI agents into the software delivery lifecycle, including identifying which tasks can be automated, where human judgment remains indispensable, and what governance or documentation frameworks may be needed.
-
Week 4: Engineering metrics in an AI-transformed environment; participants assess different measurement approaches, identify common pitfalls, and determine which signals remain actionable as throughput scales.
-
Week 5: Responsible AI practices and ethical dimensions of AI-driven delivery; participants finalize their team operating model and present findings to the cohort.
Delivery and Learning Structure#
Sessions are conducted with a small cohort of senior engineers and architects from different organizations, fostering peer-to-peer learning across contexts. Each week combines four hours of live facilitated discussion (split into two sessions) with time-boxed individual or team exercises that apply the week's material to participants' actual operational challenges. Attendees then bring back real outcomes—what changed, what succeeded, what required rework—for group discussion.
