Best Buy sweetens MacBook Pro preorder with $100 gift card
The electronics retailer is bundling a $100 store credit with purchases of Apple's newly announced touch-enabled PROLED XDR MacBook Pro models.

Best Buy is offering an incentive for early buyers of Apple's latest touch-screen MacBook Pro: a $100 gift card included automatically with preorders of the new PROLED XDR-equipped models. The credit appears in the shopping cart during checkout and applies to both the 14-inch and 16-inch configurations, as well as the 14-inch variant with the M6 chip.
The New MacBook's Display#
The standout feature of this generation is the PROLED XDR display, which Apple says delivers exceptional brightness and contrast. Early reviewers have highlighted the panel's impressive visual performance, though they've noted that the overall hardware improvements beyond the screen are relatively modest. One distinctive touch: the back-lit Apple logo returns to the design, harking back to earlier MacBook generations.
Experience Refinements#
Apple has tailored macOS to complement the new touchscreen functionality, implementing small but thoughtful changes. The window control buttons (the familiar colored traffic lights) enlarge when your finger approaches them, making the touch experience more intuitive and responsive. The new models are also slightly thinner and lighter than their predecessors.
Shopping Around#
While the new MacBook Pro is available for preorder through multiple retailers, Best Buy's $100 gift card incentive appears to be a retailer-exclusive offer—a meaningful bonus for those ready to upgrade.
