Lovable, the European platform for AI-assisted web development, has officially confirmed a $400 million Series C funding round that values the startup at $13.3 billion. The financing, led by Menlo Ventures and the Scaleup Europe Fund alongside more than a dozen other backers, marks the company's third major capital injection in under nine months.
Momentum from milestone revenue#
The fresh capital comes hot on the heels of Lovable reaching $500 million in annualized run rate revenue in June—a significant waypost for the vibe-coding startup. The platform now hosts 60 million projects and draws some 900 million monthly visitors, underscoring the scale it has achieved in its core market.
Building infrastructure for growth#
As Lovable's user base has expanded, so too have its backend architecture and technical ambitions. The company has invested in proprietary AI capabilities, including its own purpose-built language model that sits alongside mainstream frontier models from major labs. A multiyear partnership with Google Cloud, signed earlier in the year, commits to a fivefold increase in the company's cloud usage, reflecting the computational demands of its platform at scale.
Ecosystem expansion#
Beyond its core platform, Lovable has begun backing complementary ventures in the emerging vibe-coding space. The startup earlier backed Danish startup Atech, which is applying similar AI-assisted design principles to hardware development—an early signal that the vibe-coding approach may extend beyond software creation.
Disclosure: Regent, one of Lovable's new Series C investors, is also the investment firm that owns TechCrunch.
