Dreame X50 Ultra robot vacuum with step-climbing ability drops to under $850
The hybrid mopping vacuum that can scale small obstacles is getting its deepest discount yet, with deals available through Amazon and Dreame's official store.
The Verge
Dreame's X50 Ultra, a hybrid robot vacuum and mop praised for handling both hard floors and carpets, has hit a significant price reduction. The device is available for $899.99 on Amazon for Prime members, down from its original $1,599.99 retail price. For those willing to create a free account, Dreame's official store offers it slightly cheaper at $849.99.
What makes the X50 Ultra stand out#
Launched in early 2025, the X50 Ultra earned its place among the year's best robot vacuums due to a comprehensive feature set executed with few compromises. Its most distinctive capability is the ability to navigate over thresholds reaching up to 6 centimeters (roughly 2.2 inches), preventing it from becoming stuck where other models might fail. The mopping pads extend outward to clean under low-hanging furniture and cabinets, providing coverage that standard vacuums typically miss.
Maintenance and automation#
The device handles much of the upkeep automatically—it cleans, washes, and dries its mop pads without user intervention. Its self-emptying bin stores collected debris for extended periods; Dreame claims a full 100-day capacity, though actual duration varies depending on household mess levels. Users should expect to refill the water tank regularly if using the mopping function frequently.
