Meta launches tiered subscription bundles combining social media access with AI perks
Meta is rolling out bundled subscription plans globally that combine its standalone app upgrades with expanded AI capabilities across multiple price tiers.
The Verge
Meta has introduced new subscription bundles that marry its individual app subscriptions with enhanced AI features, arriving shortly after the company unveiled its universal AI assistant Muse. The Meta One subscription service is now available worldwide across several tiers designed for individual users, content creators, and businesses, though the company maintains that core functionality on all its platforms and Meta AI remains free.
Individual user tiers#
Two subscription levels are available for everyday users. The Core plan at $7.99 monthly brings together upgrades for Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook—offering perks such as extended Instagram story visibility (lasting 48 hours instead of 24) and enhanced profile customization. A step up, the Premium tier costs $19.99 per month and adds substantially more AI-powered features, including image generation through Muse and advanced in-app editing tools like Instagram's Restyle function. Both bundles cost less than purchasing the three standalone subscriptions separately.
Creator and business options#
Those running accounts professionally can choose from four escalating tiers. The Essential plan ($14.99/month) provides foundational verification tools, impersonation monitoring, and expanded access to Meta's business chatbot for WhatsApp customer service. The Advanced option ($49.99/month) steps up with professional publishing capabilities—scheduling stories weeks ahead, embedding links in organic posts, and team collaboration features. Expert ($149/month) and Max ($499/month) tiers unlock the highest feature access and capacity for larger teams managing multiple accounts.
Future expansion#
Meta has signaled plans to broaden these bundles over time, integrating additional products and services like its editing tools and upcoming AI-enabled smart glasses to create a more comprehensive ecosystem under the One banner.
