WIRED — AI
WIRED is reviving the spirit of World's Fairs—those storied showcases that have historically introduced the public to transformative innovations and ideas—with a modern-day event in Miami's Wynwood district. Scheduled for November 4 at the Sacred Space venue, the WIRED World Fair will bring cutting-edge technologies and forward-thinking conversations directly to attendees.
What to Expect#
The event will blend multiple experiences across artificial intelligence, biotechnology, space exploration, and politics. Visitors will encounter talks from prominent figures in tech and culture, including immersive art installations and hands-on demonstrations of emerging technologies.
Interactive elements will include astronaut training software from NASA that simulates conditions on Mars and the moon, as well as demonstrations from humanoid robotics. Attendees will also encounter generative AI art installations and participate in experimental performances.
Notable Speakers and Performances#
The fair will feature conversations with industry leaders and innovators. Ben Collins of The Onion will discuss satire in today's media landscape, while Clément Delangue of Hugging Face will explore ownership and governance in AI. Director Alex Gibney will screen his documentary about Elon Musk alongside a Q&A session.
Research scientists including Denise Herzing of the Wild Dolphin Project will speak on animal communication, and Ben Lamm of Colossal Biosciences will address de-extinction technologies. The programming also includes perspectives on venture capital from Alexis Ohanian and political commentary from CJ Pearson and Kat Abughazaleh.
Art and Experiential Design#
Marina Abramović will contribute immersive installations, alongside works from other artists and technologists. Refik Anadol's Large Nature Model—described as an open-access generative AI system focused on nature—will be on display. A lifelike digital avatar performance will showcase a major contemporary artist, while Unitree Robotics' humanoid robots will engage with visitors throughout the grounds.
Additional programming and speaker announcements will be released as the date approaches. More details are available at the WIRED World Fair site.
