Google Pixel 11 Pro gets steep $250+ discount during Amazon's October sale
The Pro and Pro XL models are now cheaper than the standard Pixel 11 cost at launch, making the premium versions surprisingly affordable.
The Verge
Google's flagship Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL smartphones are seeing substantial discounts on Amazon during the retailer's October sale event, with markdowns reaching $300 on the larger model.
Current pricing and value proposition#
The 256GB Pixel 11 Pro is down to $849 from its original $1,099 tag, undercutting the starting price of the standard Pixel 11. The 256GB Pro XL has dropped to $999, representing a $300 reduction. Even the base Pixel 11 with 256GB is discounted to $749, down $150 from its normal cost.
What makes this compelling: the Pro model now sits just $100 above the standard version during this promotion, compared to its usual $200 premium. That narrow gap makes the Pro's enhanced camera capabilities a more attractive upgrade.
Camera and AI features#
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL earned praise for their advanced imaging tools, particularly the new camera modes and Magic Capture functionality. The lineup also integrates several Gemini-powered features—Rambler for voice texting refinement was noted as particularly useful, though some AI-assisted tools like proactive assistance felt less universally applicable.
