Google's latest hardware refresh brings a new generation of Pixel phones, smartwatches, and accessories, with a particular focus on camera innovation and health-monitoring capabilities.
The Pixel 11 phone lineup#
The standard Pixel 11 maintains a familiar design while introducing refined color options—frost lilac, hibiscus pink, pistachio green, and obsidian black. Under the hood, Google's Tensor G6 processor delivers what the company claims are 25 percent faster web browsing and 15 percent quicker app launches. Battery life extends beyond 30 hours on a single charge, with 25 percent faster wireless charging compared to its predecessor.
The camera system includes a 48MP main sensor with 56 percent improved light sensitivity, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10.8MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom that reaches up to 30x with computational techniques. The front-facing camera offers 10.5MP resolution. Google also managed to slim down the camera bump by over 40 percent. However, the Pixel 11's starting price climbs to $899—a $100 increase—though the base model now includes 256GB storage and 12GB RAM, double the storage of the previous generation. It launches August 20th.
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL introduce a new HiLight feature—a small LED light on the camera bar that indicates Gemini interactions and calls from favorite contacts, with plans to expand its capabilities to notification alerts. The Pro model bumps up to a 48MP telephoto lens enabling 120x zoom, a 50MP main sensor, and 48MP ultra-wide. The 3,600-nit display tops out brighter than standard Pixel 11 levels. The Pro starts at $1,099 (256GB/12GB RAM) and the XL at $1,299, with both offering 16GB RAM in higher-capacity versions. Available colors include canyon, fog, olive, and matte obsidian.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold claims three times the durability of its predecessor, with the thinnest bezels Google's ever shipped on a folding phone and IP68 water and dust resistance. Its inner display reaches 3,600 nits of brightness, 20 percent brighter than the previous generation. The rear camera features a 48MP sensor, 10.5MP ultra-wide, and 10.8MP telephoto with 30x zoom. Battery endurance maxes out around 24 hours. The $100 price increase puts the base model at $1,899 (256GB/16GB RAM), with options for olive and black finishes.
New camera and video tools#
Google introduced several computational photography features rolling out across the new Pixel phones. Magic Capture extracts still photos and video clips from recorded footage after the fact, while Camera Looks applies customizable, stylized presets that alter how the phone processes images—mimicking styles like minimal, editorial, or vintage digital camera aesthetics rather than simple filters.
