Anthropic offers startups free Claude Team access and $1K in credits
The AI firm expanded its startup support program to include a year of collaborative tools and hands-on guidance from its engineering team.
TechCrunch — AI
Anthropic unveiled an enhanced startup support initiative on Tuesday, designed to lower barriers for early-stage companies looking to integrate Claude into their products and services.
What's included#
The refreshed Claude for Startups program grants qualifying companies a complimentary year of Claude Team, the company's multi-user collaboration tier accommodating up to five team members, alongside $1,000 in API credits for model usage. Participants also gain entry to the Claude Marketplace, enabling them to develop and publish custom plugins. The package further includes scheduled advisory sessions with Anthropic's Applied AI specialists to help navigate implementation challenges.
Eligibility and how to apply#
Startups qualify if they were established within the past five years or secured investment funding within the last two years. Eligible companies can submit applications via Anthropic's program portal.
Why Anthropic is investing in founders#
The company frames the initiative as essential to its broader vision, noting that "the benefits of AI will reach most people through the companies that build on top of models, rather than through the models alone." By supporting early-stage developers directly, Anthropic aims to expand Claude's footprint across the startup ecosystem and embed itself as a foundational tool for emerging ventures.
