AI agent startup uses its own bot to land $100M funding round
Lyzr deployed its autonomous agent to manage investor relations during a Series B raise, eliminating the traditional founder roadshow while proving the technology works.

Lyzr, a Jersey City-based startup focused on helping enterprises deploy AI agents, completed a $100 million Series B round by having one of its own autonomous agents handle much of the fundraising legwork. The approach showcases both the maturity of agentic AI technology and the current investor appetite for AI-driven businesses.
How the agent led fundraising#
The company's SivaClaw system fielded inquiries from more than 130 potential backers, generated investment documents, and monitored investor engagement patterns—such as which presentation slides caught their attention. By automating these traditionally manual founder responsibilities, Lyzr essentially let its technology demonstrate its own capabilities during the capital-raising process.
Capital flowing without traditional pitches#
The fundraising effort generated $400 million in interest from investors across Silicon Valley, the Middle East, and the financial services sector. Notably, the company accomplished this without founders making the customary in-person rounds of meetings along Sand Hill Road or relying on personal introductions to break the ice with potential backers.
The bigger picture#
The fundraise reveals a wider shift in startup financing: with so much capital currently focused on AI opportunities, founders with measurable traction can now secure nine-figure rounds with minimal travel and personal hustle. What was once a mandatory part of the CEO job—building relationships face-to-face—is increasingly automated away.
