Philips launches AI-powered smart toothbrush with motion tracking for $379.99
The new DiamondClean 9900 Prestige uses embedded AI and motion sensors to guide your brushing technique and track coverage across your entire mouth.

Philips has rolled out its Next-Generation DiamondClean 9900 Prestige smart toothbrush across Europe and North America, with wider availability planned for 2027. Priced at $379.99, it undercuts rival offerings like Dyson's $499 CameraJet while adding AI-driven brushing guidance through motion tracking and real-time feedback.
Built-in display and adaptive cleaning modes#
The toothbrush features a color touchscreen that lets users switch between eight cleaning modes and adjust intensity levels, catering to everything from standard daily cleaning to sensitive teeth. A "12-segment mouth map" projected on the screen shifts colors to show which areas you've covered effectively and where you may need to revisit, giving you visual confirmation that you're reaching all the right spots.
Smart feedback to prevent damage#
A glowing ring at the base works with Philips' proprietary "SenseIQ" technology and a third-generation AI engine to monitor pressure during brushing. If you're bearing down too hard, the system alerts you and automatically eases vibration intensity to protect your gums and prevent enamel wear—effectively teaching you proper technique in real time.
Market positioning#
The device arrives as the toothbrush category increasingly embraces built-in screens and connected features. While the prior DiamondClean generation remains available at a discount of $429.99, the new model delivers more sophisticated AI capabilities at a lower price point, offering a more affordable alternative to some premium smart-brush competitors that have encountered reliability issues.
