Pixel 11 series delivers incremental hardware gains, aggressive software focus
Google's new flagship phones emphasize practical features and AI tools over flashy redesigns, though all models jump $100 in price.

Google's new Pixel 11 lineup—the standard 11, Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold—represents a year of careful refinement rather than radical overhaul. The aesthetics remain consistent with Google's design language, but this generation prioritizes software capabilities and user experience polish over major hardware breakthroughs.
Pricing and standard Pixel 11#
All four models are launching with a universal $100 price hike. The base Pixel 11 now starts at $899 for 256GB (up from $799 for 128GB last year), reflecting industry-wide memory cost pressures. The standard model retains 12GB of RAM across all storage tiers.
The handset gains visual refinement through a thinner, single-piece glass camera bar—over 40 percent slimmer than its predecessor—which sits flush when paired with Google's protective cases. Both the main and telephoto cameras receive sensor upgrades: the 48MP wide-angle now captures 56 percent more light via a new 1/1.56-inch sensor, while the 5x telephoto extends digital zoom to 30x through the Tensor G6's enhanced image signal processor.
Battery performance improves to 30-plus hours across the range, aided by the Tensor G6's 20 percent efficiency gains. Wireless charging speeds up by 25 percent to 25W via the new Qi2.2 standard.
Camera and creator features#
The most compelling software addition is Camera Looks—a system of customizable, style-driven presets that process images at the sensor level rather than applying filters post-capture. The Natural mode, for instance, reduces sharpness and contrast to produce more naturalistic images. This approach represents a meaningful departure from conventional filter systems.
Google is also rolling out Magic Capture, a hybrid mode that automatically extracts usable clips and photos from video recordings—aimed particularly at documenting events like birthday parties. The feature underperformed during hands-on testing but may shine with longer recordings.
A new Creator Suite brings professional-grade tools directly into the camera app: social media framing guides, speech enhancement, a teleprompter, and automatic video folder organization. The tight integration signals Google's ambition to court mobile content creators.
Pro and Pro XL enhancements#
The Pro and Pro XL models open at $1,099 for 256GB with 12GB of RAM (a step down from 16GB last year), though higher storage tiers restore the 16GB option. The flagship display reaches 3,600 nits peak brightness—the company's brightest smartphone screen ever and only modestly brighter than last year's 3,300 nits.
