Meta's Muse AI agent expands to iPad with native app support
The agentic AI tool now optimizes for tablets' larger screens and multitasking features, alongside new business integrations.
The Verge
Meta has rolled out native iPad support for Muse, its AI agent platform that has dominated Apple's App Store free charts since launching last month. The update brings the conversational AI experience to tablets, taking fuller advantage of iPadOS's expanded screen space and multitasking improvements.
Expanding Muse's platform reach#
Muse already launched with a dedicated Mac application about a week after its initial iOS debut, positioning the AI agent as a competitor to similar tools from OpenAI and other makers. The iPad version follows the same expansion strategy, allowing users to access the AI assistant across phones, tablets, and computers. The tablet release demonstrates Meta's commitment to bringing Muse to multiple device categories, emphasizing the centrality of the AI tool to the company's broader strategy.
New business-focused features#
Beyond the iPad rollout, this update introduces integrations with a growing roster of productivity and business tools—including Canva, Dropbox, Figma, QuickBooks, GitHub, Zoom, Asana, and Klaviyo. The agent can now accept business goals from users and autonomously handle tasks like planning marketing campaigns, preparing client presentations, and creating new product pages. These additions specifically target small business owners seeking AI automation for routine workflows.
Looking ahead#
Meta is pursuing an ambitious hardware strategy around Muse, having recently unveiled a pocket-sized AI device called the Muse Charm that functions independently of smartphones. The company is also working to integrate Muse into its smart glasses, broadening the ways users can interact with its AI agent.
