Peloton launches trio of refreshed treadmills, from a foldable budget model to premium performance machines
The fitness brand is betting its new Tread Flex and two upgraded models—with AI-powered coaching and form analysis—can attract new customers to its treadmill line.

Peloton has unveiled a fresh treadmill lineup designed to appeal to different user segments: a new $2,195 foldable entry point, two upgraded premium machines, and a suite of AI-powered running features built on the Peloton IQ software the company rolled out last year.
The new Tread Flex: compact and more affordable#
The standout product is the Tread Flex, which addresses a key complaint from existing customers—the need for a machine that doesn't dominate living space. When folded upright, the Flex occupies about 50% less floor space than traditional treadmills and has a smaller footprint than even Peloton's own Bike Plus. The machine ships with locking caster wheels for portability and features a two-stage hydraulic descent mechanism that lowers the deck smoothly and silently over roughly 25 seconds rather than dropping with a jarring thud.
Safety features include a passcode lock on the traditional Tread Lock and the slow-descent system, though the company noted there are no sensor-based safety safeguards. At 70 decibels during operation, the motor runs considerably quieter than many competing treadmills. The deck is somewhat shorter than Peloton's other models, which could be a limitation for taller runners but generally suits most users.
Like other Peloton machines, the Flex includes a rotating screen for cross-training workouts. However, it lacks the motion-tracking camera found on pricier models, which prevents access to some of the newer Peloton IQ capabilities.
Two upgraded premium treadmills#
Peloton has rebranded its existing treadmill line as the Tread Vision ($3,495, up $200 from its predecessor) and Tread Plus Vision ($6,695, unchanged). Both machines have been refined rather than fundamentally redesigned:
- New deck with enhanced cushioning provides more comfortable impact absorption
- Redesigned quick-access buttons allow intuitive speed and incline adjustments in both directions
- Improved tablet and water bottle holder replaces the previous design
- Sled mode on the Plus Vision targets performance-focused athletes in sports like CrossFit and Hyrox competitions
Both treadmills retain their swivel screens and motion-tracking cameras, enabling the full suite of new AI-driven features.
