Meta expands Pocket, its AI-powered game-creation app, to all US users
The social giant is rolling out a vibe-coding tool that lets people generate and share playable games through simple text prompts.

Meta's Pocket, an AI-powered app for generating interactive mini-games, is now available nationwide across the United States after a successful test run in Brazil. The platform lets users create small, playable experiences by writing simple prompts, which are then shared in a feed-based social interface.
How Pocket Works#
The app draws on technology Meta acquired earlier this year through its recruitment of the team behind Gizmo, a vibe-coded gaming platform. Users describe what they want to create in natural language, and the AI generates a functional game—called a "gizmo"—that responds to phone tilt and touch inputs. These creations can incorporate sound effects, songs from your music library, and photos or live camera feeds. Once published, other users can save, remix, or repost the games to their own profiles.
Part of Meta's Broader AI Expansion#
Pocket represents the latest addition to Meta's growing roster of standalone AI creation tools. The company has recently shipped Meta AI for Mac, Instagram Instants for ephemeral photo sharing, Forum as a Reddit alternative, a Marketplace-focused Seller app, and an experimental bedtime story generator. CEO Mark Zuckerberg has attributed the accelerated release cycle to AI-assisted development, enabling faster iteration and deployment.
"We are planning to build out more ideas and use our recommendation systems to scale them," Zuckerberg said on Meta's July earnings call, signaling the company's intent to launch additional niche applications in the coming months.
