Formal methods research takes center stage at Romanian symposium
The tenth annual Working Formal Methods Symposium convened researchers in Timişoara to present advances in computer science verification techniques.
A gathering of formal methods researchers took place in Timişoara, Romania, bringing together work from multiple institutions to showcase progress in computational verification and software engineering.
Event Overview#
The 10th Working Formal Methods Symposium (FROM 2026) assembled academics and practitioners on September 15–17, 2026, with support from three partner organizations: the Faculty of Informatics at West University of Timişoara, the e-Austria institute, and the Institute for Logic and Data Science (ILDS). The conference was strategically aligned with the concurrent 28th International Symposium on Symbolic and Numeric Algorithms for Scientific Computing (SYNASC 2026), enabling cross-pollination between the two research communities.
Accepted Research#
The Program Committee selected 14 papers for presentation at the event. These contributions represent current work in formal verification, mathematical approaches to software correctness, and related methodologies that bridge theoretical computer science and practical engineering applications.
