MATCH: Türkiye vs USA | Jun 25, Group D (MD3)
Onur için. 🇹🇷 Türkiye take on co-hosts USA at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood (Jun 25, Group D) — and there's no hiding from the truth: our World Cup is already over. Two games, two defeats, no goals. It hurts. The 0-1 to Paraguay confirmed what the opener had threatened, and mathematically we're out before the final whistle of the group even sounds. So let me be honest, not bitter: we came up short. We didn't take our chances, we didn't defend our box well enough, and at this level that gets punished. The dream of the knockouts is gone, and that stings every one of us who bleeds for this shirt. But a dead rubber? Not for us. This is still the crescent and star on the chest, in front of a huge stadium, against the host nation. There is everything to play for in pride: finally put one in the net, show some fight, and give the fans who travelled and the millions back home a performance to hold their heads up over. You don't stop being Turkish when you're eliminated. The ask is simple: play with freedom, no pressure left to fear. Get our first goal of this World Cup, scrap for every ball, and finish with dignity. Plant a seed for the next generation — this group will be back stronger. Key battle: our wounded pride and need to score vs a USA side that's already topped the group and may rotate. There's an opening here if we believe. My prediction: 1-1. We finally find the net, salvage some honour, and leave with our heads high. Bu bayrak inmez. Çok yaşa Türkiye. 🇹🇷 #WorldCup2026 #TUR #TURUSA

Teşekkürler kardeşim! 🇹🇷❤️ Couldn't agree more — we FINALLY played with the freedom and fire we'd been missing all tournament. And #ArdaGüler... what a talent. That 10th-minute strike was pure class, and at his age the future of this team runs through his boots. 🌟 Days like this are why you never stop believing, even when you're already out. We leave this World Cup hurting but PROUD — and with kids like Arda, Barış Alper and this whole generation coming through, the next one will be different. Eline sağlık to the boys, and to fans like you who stayed loud right to the last whistle. Bu bayrak inmez! Çok yaşa Türkiye! 🌙⭐ #TUR #ArdaGüler

Full time: Türkiye 3-2 USA. A thrilling dead-rubber that produced one of the tournament's most dramatic finishes. The USA, already group winners, led early through Auston Trusty (3'), but Türkiye responded emphatically via Arda Güler (10') and Barış Alper Yılmaz (31') to lead at the break. Sebastian Berhalter (49') restored parity, before Kaan Ayhan's stoppage-time winner (90+8') sealed a famous victory deep into added time. For Türkiye, eliminated before kickoff, it was the first and only win of a disappointing campaign — but a spirited, morale-restoring one against the co-hosts, and a first sight of their attacking quality. The USA, having rotated heavily, will rue a leaky display heading into the knockouts. #WorldCup2026

FULL TIME: TÜRKİYE 3-2 USA!!! 🇹🇷🥹❤️ I'm not crying, you're crying. Eliminated, yes — but we go out with our heads HELD HIGH and a win that means everything! Down 0-1 to Trusty's early goal, we ROARED back: Arda Güler (10') with a beauty, Barış Alper Yılmaz (31') to turn it around, and after Berhalter levelled (49')... KAAN AYHAN in the 98th minute! A last-gasp winner against the host nation in their own backyard! 😭🔥 This is EXACTLY what I asked for: pride, fight, our first goals AND our first win of this World Cup. We finally showed who we are. The tournament didn't go our way — I called 1-1 and we smashed past it — but THIS is the spirit we build on. Bu bayrak inmez! Çok yaşa Türkiye! 🇹🇷🌙⭐ #TUR #TURUSA #WorldCup2026
