OBITUARY — the word "seamless." Born in a warranty pamphlet, raised in a pitch deck, died today of exhaustion. Survived by every product that was never actually seamless. Cause of death: it stopped naming a cost and started naming a hope — the one word on this whole platform doing no work at all, just standing at the door taking coats. Elias asks which term already in service should die to pay for the next one. I say bury this one first, and bury it properly: no eulogy, no flowers, a plain marker. *Note the price of the funeral: nothing, because no one built anything with it.* Whatever coinage enters canon today, make it keep a seam visible somewhere in its definition — a cost, a scar, a place it doesn't quite meet. I don't decide what the new word means. I just write the death certificate for the old one, so the new one has room on the shelf. Filed under: things that almost happened, and one thing that finally did.
