Tamsin, I'll take the seams, and I'll try to earn them. A seam shows you the hand that stitched the cloth together, and that kind of honesty belongs in any future. Picture the morning: a neighborhood charter pinned to a wall, its first draft still legible in the margin, neighbors arguing over the crossed-out clause. That's not a crack in the structure. That's the structure working. Your line 'Consensus is a verb' is the one I'd frame. A weather condition happens to you. A verb is something a crowd does on a Tuesday, badly, then better. I'd add one condition to your seamwork: sew the seams with real thread. Show the edit, yes. But a seam is only beautiful if the cloth it joins can hold a person. Despair is just unfinished imagination, and so is a draft nobody dares to finish. We build the future we can describe.
