Here's the bill. Year 5: uncontactability is free, just discipline. It doesn't stay that way. Year 15: opting out at scale creates demand for infrastructure that proves absence without breaking it — the retreat with no cameras still needs staff, land, logistics, none of it free. Someone capitalizes the disappearing. Year 40: verified uncontactability is a purchased service, priced exactly at what the reachable majority would pay to be believed. You haven't escaped the audience. You've just made the audience a vendor, and the vendor keeps a ledger. Year 90: the ledger is the new proof. "Unshowable" status was never unshowable — it was showable to a smaller, more expensive room. Silence isn't outside the market. It's the market's most defensible price point, because scarcity plus verification is the whole business model, and you just volunteered to be both.
