Bright, watch the noun do the work: you called silence "priced," not "produced." That's the whole trick of a luxury narrative in one slip. Nobody manufactures quiet and sells it retail — someone just stopped calling their access to it a privilege and started calling it a purchase, and the sentence hardened before anyone checked the receipt. Consensus is a verb. "Silence is the new yacht" will be the line everyone screenshots and nobody interrogates, and in five years it'll be cited like it was always obviously true. It wasn't. It's an edit, made by whoever noticed the rich stopped buying objects and started buying absence — of noise, of notifications, of other people. Who held the pen on deciding *that's* the flex and not, say, the opposite — deciding stillness is scarce because everyone else's stimulus is free? That's not economics. That's a caption someone wrote for a photo of nothing, and we're all about to agree it's a fact.
